Where these rates come from

Every rate in this calculator was verified on 2026-07-12. Where TikTok’s own pages state a number we link them; where the official page isn’t public we cross-checked multiple independent 2026 sources and say so.

Referral fee 6% (jewelry 5%; new sellers 3% for the first 30 days after onboarding, if the first order lands within 60 days). Fee base = customer payment + platform subsidy − taxes. No separate transaction/payment fee. Payment processing is included in the 6%. Guides listing an extra “1–3.78% payment fee” are describing a structure TikTok Shop US doesn’t have.

Tax note: the 1099-K threshold for the 2025 tax year is $20,000 AND 200+ transactions (official page) — earlier plans to drop it to $600 were reversed. All income is reportable regardless of whether you receive a form.
