TikTok Shop’s fees look simple — “just 6%” — until the affiliate commission, fulfillment, returns and refund admin fees stack up. Sellers routinely discover their real margin is 20–40 points below the sticker margin. This calculator itemizes every cost with rates you can check: each one is sourced and dated below the calculator.

Where these rates come from

Every rate in this calculator was verified on 2026-07-12; the official FBT rate card was re-checked on 2026-08-03 (see the FBT note below). Where TikTok’s own pages state a number we link them; where the official page isn’t public we cross-checked multiple independent 2026 sources and say so.

Referral fee 6% (jewelry 5%; new sellers 3% for the first 30 days after onboarding, if the first order lands within 60 days). Fee base = customer payment + platform subsidy − taxes. No separate transaction/payment fee. Payment processing is included in the 6%. Guides listing an extra “1–3.78% payment fee” are describing a structure TikTok Shop US doesn’t have.

FBT fulfillment ≈ $1.56/unit (multi-item consolidated) to $4.28/unit (single small item ≤4oz), per the official FBT rate card. That range describes small items only. As of the rate card’s 2026-07-13 update it also covers Heavy Bulky weight tiers above 50 lbs and up to 150 lbs, which this range does not cover. Storage free for the first 60 days. Rates were adjusted three times in 2026 — check your weight tier. (Rate card re-checked 2026-08-03: TikTok publishes the per-unit fee tables as images, so the Heavy Bulky figures cannot be quoted or verified here.) We have since transcribed that image tier by tier: every FBT Heavy Bulky fee from 50 lb to 150 lb.
Refund admin fee = 20% of the original referral fee, capped at $5 per SKU (since 2025-05-15). The referral fee itself is returned to you on refunds. Not charged on pre-shipment cancellations.
Return shipping: with Shop Performance Score ≥ 4, TikTok subsidizes 80%; below 4 it’s a 50/50 split; seller-fault returns are 100% on you. Printify fee overview, cross-checked with FastMoss.
Seller-shipped orders: if you offer free shipping, you pay the carrier cost (the old $0.80/order subsidy is gone). Under the Shipping Fee Program, sub-$30 orders charge buyers $5.99 and rebate you $0.75/item. Official SFP page.
Withdrawals: ACH $0.05/transfer, PayPal 0.9% — excluded from per-sale math as negligible. Settlement typically ~15 days after delivery (31-day holding period for new sellers).
Tax note: the 1099-K threshold for the 2025 tax year is $20,000 AND 200+ transactions (official page) — earlier plans to drop it to $600 were reversed. All income is reportable regardless of whether you receive a form.
